1. Is VSSUT Hackathon an independent Event or an event of annual tech fest of VSSUT Burla?

VSSUT Hackathon is a part of techno-management fest E-Summit, VSSUT

2. Do I need to pay a registration fee?

For Hackathon, nope! But there are minimal charges according to the events in the Fest.

4. Is there a travel reimbursement?

Till now, we don't have provisions for reimbursing your travel costs. We may reimburse it in future depending upon the sponsorships we receive. So stay tuned!

5. What should I bring with me?

A laptop is all you need.

6. How to apply for VSSUT Hackathon?

You can register through our website by logging into your google account otherwise you can Register through vssutinnobuzz.hackerearth.com

7. What is the last date of registration?

30th January, 2018

8. How are applications evaluated?

The applications are evaluated on basis of your profile you have submitted to us. As we have fixed number of seats, we will review your applications on first come first serve basis.

9.Do we need to have the entire idea fully working?

The entire idea need not be fully implemented however, the submission should be functional so that it can be reviewed by the judges.

10.How is the environment? Will your environment support any language? Will you provide any IDE and DB for us to work on ideas?

You have to develop the entire software application on your local system and submit it in tar/zip file format along with instructions to run the application and source code.

11.Is there any restrictions of using any specific technology for hardware development procedure or use of particular language or libraries?

There is no restriction to use any language, technology used, or libraries.

12.Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built?

Yes in final pitching session to judges you have to submit a small presentation or video that demos your submission, and functional prototype to back your presentation. Your presentations should clearly outline how it is going to address the particular problem statement it is targeting. It should include the market viability of the solution if you plan to implement it larger scale and mass production.

12.Who will own the IP (Intellectual Property) Rights to the product that I have built?

The developer/developers of product will have all rights and own the IP of the product.

13.How are we supposed to move-forward after product development in the event?

We would helping in all possible way from ideation stage to product development stage during the 36 hours final event. The top 10 teams would nurtured and given requisite support and assistance to make it market ready products by tagging the projects (if the team wishes for) to pioneer companies working in particular field.

14.What about accomodation and fooding expenses?

Accomodation and food will be provided by the University. No costs will be beared by participants.
